Manicaland Hails Birmingham

Thank you Birmingham Branch👏👏👏👏

On Saturday the 25th of November 2017 the MDC-T Manicaland Provincial leadership met at Queens Hall in Mutare at a meeting called specifically to review the ongoing BVR exercise. The Provincial executive was joined by the Women's n Youth's wings at provincial level plus district chairpersons for all the three wings at district level. In the current circumstances of extreme financial difficulties the high attendance was encouraging n it reflected a province ready and committed to the struggle.

Organising Sec Mr Tangwara 'Soja' Matimba introduced our Alliance partners from the Welshman Ncube led MDC to the Provincial executive. They were received with warmth.

The donation of a brand new laptop, a smart phone and a memory stick from the UK Branch of Birmingham delivered through the Provincial Treasurer, Mr Jaison Matewu, was received with happiness. The Executive expressed so much joy for such support n hope that this relationship will continue to be strengthened as we move closer n closer to the make or break elections in 2018.

The Provincial Chairman implored upon all members from the top to the bottom to roll up their sleeves n participate in the mobilisation of our people to register. 'More work, less talk' was the message from Hon Chimhini.

Major Mutsekwa encouraged our members to remain calm, peaceful n law abiding in the wake of the recent political developments in the country.

Dear Chairman Karonga,

I would like to thank your executive, all Birmingham Branch members and  yourself for your unwavering support to our struggle in Zimbabwe
It is a dream come true for Manicaland Province to receive a brand new laptop and a memory stick. Our office is back to life. I was handed the laptop and memory stick by your Branch Treasurer Mr Derek Sibanda when I visited Birmingham yesterday.

Please pass our gratitude and appreciation to all MDC T Birmingham branch members. We are privileged to be working with you.

I am grateful that all our requests will be met. May God richly bless everyone of your members. We look forward to a continued working relationship until Zimbabwe is free.

Yours in the struggle,

Jaison Matewu
Treasurer General MDC T Manicaland Province.

Twinning Programme for 2018 General Elections

MDC Birmingham Branch major focus and strategy is to help our party win convincingly the 2018 general election. The branch has proposed and agreed to hold Social Gatherings once every month as a means of raising some funds to support party programmes in Zimbabwe. So far two Social Gatherings have taken place on Saturday 18 June 2016 and 16 July 2016. These events were very successful as there were both well attended by MDC – T members and other Zimbabweans. As a branch we feel it time to rise up and refocus our battle not against each other but against Zanu PF and its entire leadership. The branch set a target of £2 000.00 to be raised and used to fund party election programmes of 2018. The branch members have also continued to maintain their obligation of paying their monthly membership subscriptions. As a Branch of Excellence we are committed to complete the last mile towards real transformation.

A Big Thank You To Birmingham

(In support of 2013 Elections)

On behalf of Chimanimani West Constituency l would like to update you on the progress of our chicken projects which you funded us.

Firstly this has united our people for the first time since 2008 when l became an MP. People are working together as one, and they have taken ownership to look after the projects though they have got challenges there and there in terms of feeds and medicine but l want to assure you that they are managing.

Other opposing parties are joining us because they are seeing the real change from our party which is now exercising its excellence through your support. It has also helped us to work together and forget about the post congress conflicts. In addition it has also united our structures because all the party wings which are the Main, Women and Youth are working together as a team.

Lastly l would like to thank the Birmingham Branch which has come up with this brilliant idea of empowering our structures and l would like to urge other branches to join them to continue helping us to bring the real change in Zimbabwe. For your own information this will go a long way in mass mobilization.

Together to the end, let’s finish it. God bless you all.

Hon L Karenyi.
